Located on a headland enjoying views of Copacabana Beach, Copacabana House provides a young, growing family with connected living spaces and functional bedrooms while keeping the existing beach-shack exterior. Constrained with keeping the existing central stair and entrance intact, the inner hallway playfully curves around the stair and expands to an open plan living with north facing views to a leafy backdrop, of gum trees and lillypillys.

Children’s bedrooms are located strategically eastward while the master bedroom is located upstairs to enjoy coastal views and sea breezes. The natural, light material palette consisting of spotted gum and white curves creates a calm environment for balancing both family and working life.
